It’s probably been a while since there’s been anything new to see here, but I’m shaking things up. Starting with the appearance, because fiddling with the look of things is a really great way to avoid actually writing things. In true Sonal fashion, this makeover is not actually complete–I need to update my bio and publications credits, and make my terrible MailChimp template somewhat less terrible–but hey. I updated.
But along those lines, I’m changing up the content of the blog too. Still writing, but less my semi-professional persona. More me. Which will likely include more profanity, but my inner twelve year old still things saying bad words is funny.
Along with all of this, though, are some new goals. In short, I need to write more. I’ve set a truly ridiculous goal of writing a new short story every month, and also revising a short story every month, in the hope that this will generate a giant pile of stories with which to send out into the world, and like, bring me love and accolades or some shit like that. Or at least publication credits and maybe some stink-eye from my secret writing nemesis. Same difference.
I’ve also set a new goal of writing a new blog post monthly, and I’d like to read something new at least monthly, but my freebie goal tracking software maxed out at that point and so I’ll have to accomplish a few things before I can add that to the list. Or spend $40 and upgrade to Premium. Or find a better free goal tracking software.
So many ways to avoid writing….
